The new route was designed by Kemerovo Regional Museum of Local history in the framework of the Year of Culture for Development of Cultural and Informative Tourism in Kuzbass.

      12-hour long bus tour follows the route from Kemerovo to Bekovo village of Belovsky District – Gurievsk – the Spring of Saint John the Baptist (Salair) – Golden Mountain (Gurievsk) ski resort and back to Kemerovo. The tourists will make acquaintance with the life of Teleuts, the regions' aboriginal population; will visit Guryevsk metallurgical plant – the cradle of metallurgical industry of the region – and holy places for Kuzbass Orthodox believers, first and foremost – the famous Peter and Paul Church in Salair. In addition, they will take a ride to a ski slope and will be able to purchase the famous Guryevsky spice cake as a keepsake. The route is designed for a wide tourist audience, interested in historical and cultural heritage of the region.

      The Kemerovo regional museum of local history is a leading and the oldest museum of Kuzbass. It has been opened in 1929. It's the centre of methodical, research and local history efforts. In modern conditions the museum of local history is a visiting card of the region. Here accumulates objective and trustworthy information about the nature and history of the land, and information giving means all possible communicative ways of its translation. The Kemerovo regional museum of local history is located in the centre of Kemerovo and occupies three buildings.     There are four sections in the exposition structure of a museum: nature, pre-revolutionary and modern history, military history, a memorial museum-workshop of the National artist of RSFSR A.N. Kirchanova. In 2009 - 2010 activity of a museum and its employees were repeatedly marked by high awards: the Kemerovo regional museum of local history became the winner in a nomination "the Best museum of Kuzbass - 2009"; at V Siberian library forum the Gold medal for the best exhibit "the Picture album of 2009 exhibits of the Kemerovo regional museum of local history "With love to Kuzbass" has been awarded; the diploma of I degree of an exhibition "Expo-sibir" for the best exhibit" project Realization "Street magazine "12 windows", two young experts became winners of the governor's award in the field of culture and the art, three employees are awarded by medals of the Kemerovo area.
