A travel advisory with brief helpful tips for tourists was issued by the Russian Information Centre in Goa with the support of the Consulate General of Russia in Mumbai.
“The advisory will give a tourist all the necessary information about the rules of conduct in the state of Goa and in India as a whole” – that was told at the press service of the Centre. “After a month of work in Goa Russian Information Centre came to the conclusion that the Russian-speaking tourists tend to get into trouble in Goa because of low awareness and neglect to Indian laws. There are some other reasons - language barrier, loss of alertness and the sad fact that many tourists are victims of the services rendered by illegal companies in Goa. Russian Information Centre recommends that all tour operators of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan should provide the advisory developed by the Centre to all tourists purchasing a tour to Goa” – the managing partner of “Tara” tour operator and the proponent of the project of Russian Information Centre in Goa Ekaterina Belyakova said.
According to the estimates of the experts of the Centre, the advisory for Russian citizens having rest in Goa is a set of simple but important rules of conduct and rest in Goa. The advisory includes the rules of compliance with the visa regime, the rules of communication with the local police and the local population, dress code requirements, as well as some warnings.
