The House with Mezzanine, where the outstanding Russian writer and scientist Boris Panteleymonov grew up will be restored in Muromtsevo (Omsk Region).
Works on dismantling and restoration of this well-known have been started in the north of the Omsk Region. Panteleymonov's stories describing the life of Siberians, dwellers of his native village gained fame to this mansion constructed back in 1890.
His creativity was highly appreciated by the writers Ivan Bunin, Nadezhda Taffy and Georgy Adamovich. Boris Panteleymonov early left his homeland and lived abroad, but even then continued writing about Russia, and his childhood in Muromtsevo.
In the recent decade the mansion came to a breakdown state and was at the brink of collapse. “Presently it is being dismantled prior to restoration. We plan to make it a center for Russian traditional culture. The building will house craft workshops and creative projects for preservation of traditional culture. Naturally, a certain memorial room will also be arranged there”, - chairman of culture committee of Muromtsevo District Administration Natalya Zaytseva explained.
