The capital of Tatarstan is 5th in the ranking of the most popular Russia cities among foreign tourists in 2013.

      The list of Russian destinations, which became the most popular among foreign tourists in 2013, is as follows: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Adler, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Sochi and Perm.

      In recent years the interest in Kazan among foreign tourists has increased significantly. Visitors from abroad are attracted by dynamic changes in the infrastructure of Tatarstan capital, by rich history, mixture of cultures and religions. All this makes Tatarstan one of the most promising tourism market directions, the Center of Tourism Development of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
