Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Center to be Founded in Moscow

Urban Planning and Land Commission of Moscow has approved the blueprint of a development plan for a site in 1st Samotechny Lane.

      It will be occupied with Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Center with an exposition of the history of GULAG, Interfax reports.

      Presently there is an uninhabited building taking the area of nearly 3 thousand sq m at the place of the future center. The area of the site assigned for construction makes 0,07 hectares. Upon reconstruction the area of the building will make 3.367 thousand sq m. The building will be equipped for the museum, with its intrinsic areas and the attic used and its height left the same.
