“Gazprom” and “Lukoil” will cooperate in prevention and clean up of oil spills.

      “Gazprom” and “Lukoil” signed an agreement on cooperation in the prevention and relief of emergencies caused by spills of oil and oil products.

      This was stated in the message of the Russian gas company. The agreement also provides that by the end of 2014 the companies will have held joint exercises in the vicinity of the offshore ice-resistant platform "Prirazlomnaya" and Varandeysky shipping terminal. The message stresses the fact that the companies never had any emergency related to oil spills during almost 20 years of their experience in offshore projects.
