Olympic Games Will Not Change The Rating Of Russia

Moody's: Olympic Games will not change the rating of Russia.

‘Moody's’ International Rating Agency notes that the upcoming Olympic Games are credit-neutral for sovereign rating of Russia, for they will not provide any macroeconomic upswing for the county in 2014.

At that, it is noted that the Olympics will support the economy of Sochi and Krasnodar Territory due to government financing in 2014, but it can also put fiscal pressure on the region in the long term. Currently, the rating of Russia is at Baa1 level.
