Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow will open an exhibition of the illustrious photographer Garry Winogrand on February 19.

This year photography art by Garry Winogrand is at its height of popularity — his large-scale retrospective is now traveling across the USA and Europe.

The visitors of the exhibition in Moscow will get acquainted with the heritage of this key figure of American art of the 1960s.

He explained his mission in photography as follows: “I photograph to learn what the photographed world looks like”.

One of the founders of street photography, Garry Winogrand combined documentary informational content of a picture with his personal viewpoint and created a recognizable image of the era in captured portraits and situations.
