Prince Vladimir On Screen

The long-awaited cartoon Prince Vladimir will be screened in February.
This project was launched into production in November 1999 at the studio Solnechy Dom-DM (Sunny House-DM) specially established for the occasion over six years ago.
The viewers will soon have a chance to estimate the labours of a big team of cartoonists. On February 3 the film will be screened for the press and February 22 will see the cartoon in general release.
The name of Prince Vladimir is known to almost every Russian. Some people see him as the Great Prince Baptist of Old Rus who united the Slavic tribes. For others he is first of all an epic hero, a just and wise ruler of Kiev and the defender of the Russian land.
The cartoon brings both the views together. He is featured with other heroes in the whirl of fights, hunts, festivals and feasts, all that against the background of the natural splendor of Old Rus.
