The governors of Yamal, Yugra and Tyumen Oblast signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of tourism. By this document the heads of regions confirmed the need for conducting a coordinated policy in the field of incoming and internal tourism. Their goal is to create favorable conditions for sustainable development of the industry and informational provision for tourism products in these three regions on the tourism services markets.
Under the agreement the parties will jointly determine and control mutual lines of activity for tourism development and informational exchange. It is also planned to carry out activities aimed at creation of a single tourist space, organization of joint conferences, seminars, symposiums, exhibitions, fairs and festivals, as well as the involvement of organizations and enterprises of the regions in the implementation of investment projects and programs in the field of tourism. The action plan for the implementation of the agreement until 2017 was already approved. It includes tourist groups exchange, exchange of experience in development and filling of tourist web-sites, development of inter-regional ethnographic, sports (extreme), fishing, ecological trails, tours and programs.
