The traditional holiday “Sagaalgan” was held at the Ethnographic Museum of Transbaikalia. Sagaalgan, White Crescent Holiday or Lunar Calendar New Year is one of the most important holidays of Buryats. It symbolizes the sacred meaning of white food and pure intentions, unity of nation and continuity of generations, respect for elders and adherence to ancient traditions.

      The visitors saw the concert program featuring folk ensembles “Magtaal” and “Toonto”, participated in the competitions “hэер shaalga” (breaking of the bone) and “shagai naadan” (dice game) , as well as an interactive game on the museum complexes.
