Archaeology, Museums and Heritage Department of the Indian state of Karnataka has announced the tender for reconstruction of Roerich Tataguni Estate in the state capital Bangalore.
According to local media, the tender winning company will be expected to reconstruct the estate in such a way to make it an art center after the fashion of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The bids for the tender can be submitted from early March, the Culture Radio reports.
It is planned, in particular, to measure the estate area again for exactly outlining its boundaries, restore housing accommodations, studio and graveyard, make a rose garden 25 acres large, and 100-acre park.
More than $4 million has been provided for this large-scale project.
