IOC President Thomas Bach has acknowledged significant progress by Russian athletes after a lackluster performance at the 2010 Vancouver Games.

Bach also reprimanded those who criticized the IOC’s choice of Sochi as the host city for the 2014 Games.

With a current haul of 33 medals, Russia has set a new all-time record of medal haul, beating Soviet achievements. Here’re some of the latest tweets praising Russian athletes.
