The city’s first museum of photo cameras has been opened in Krasnoyarsk. Its collection is comprised of 150 rare exhibits.
According to the museum director Pavel Samoylik, who has been collecting for four years, legendary Soviet camera brands, such as Smena, FED, Kiev, Zenith and Lyubitel will be presented to visitors. The rarest exhibit is a 1939 FED.
On the very first day of its work the museum held lectures and workshops on digital and film photography. The museum organizers hope that it will also become a popular venue for Krasnoyarsk photographers’ meetings. By the way, the rare exhibits will be available not only for looking at, but for hire as well.
