The region’s first Housing and Communal Services Museum will be opened in Kolomna, Moscow Region, on March 13.

      “HCS is such an area of our life that affects everyone. Therefore the museum is created with the aim of not just actualizing the history of housing and communal services in the region and the country in general, but also giving people a clear picture of how this sector operates , and what kind of people work in it” , - the Moscow Region HCS minister Pavel Zhdanov pointed out.

      In addition, he noted that another goal of the Housing and Communal Services Museum is to instill in residents respect for communal facilities and responsible approach of people working in this area.

      Until recently, the employees of the new museum were looking for exhibits. Locals took an active part in collecting various archival photographs, and vintage objects of heat and water supply systems.

      The museum collections will be housed in the first pumping station of Kolomna, on the bank of River Kolomenka.
