Exhibition of Mitki Group Co-founder Held in St. Petersburg

The NAMEGALLERY in St. Petersburg has opened an exhibition of Vladimir Shinkarev timed to his 60th anniversary.

The artist is a well-known co-founder of the Mitki art group.

The exhibition includes 45 new works from his series Grim Paintings, which the artist has been continuing for two decades.

Vladimir Shinkarev constantly develops his creativity and has a positive outlook. “It is all going to be better and merrier” - he promised. By his own estimate, his paintings have practically no features characteristic of Mitki’s creativity. “The Mitki period is in the past – these were the best young years. It was back in the 1980s” - Vladimir Shinkarev pointed out.
