Due to the political crisis in Ukraine, the supply of equipment for the construction of Moscow Metro was disrupted. This was stated by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Marat Khusnullin in his interview with reporters.
“We have signed a large-scale contract for the supply of equipment for the metro construction with the factory in Dnepropetrovsk, but today the delivery of equipment is delayed due to the difficult situation in Ukraine” - Khusnullin said. According to him, the amount of the contract with the Ukrainian factory is 800 million roubles. “It's a lot of money for Ukraine, and we are very sorry for such situation. In general, according to our estimates, the supply will be delayed for 2-3 months because of what happened in Ukraine” - the Deputy Mayor added. He stressed the fact that the city authorities are looking for options of alternative supply, but even in this case delays are inevitable.
