“Gazprom” has kept the volume of its gas export to Europe at the level of the same period in 2013 – that is $ 13.1 billion cubic meters. This was reported by RIA “Novosti” with reference to the official representative of the gas holding Sergei Kupriyanov.
“We are satisfied with the results. The volume of gas export in January amounted to 16 billion cubic meters, which is 13.2% more than in January of the last year. And in February we have kept the volume at the level of 2013 - about $ 13.1 billion cubic meters, despite the abnormally warm weather in Europe” - he noted. He also stressed that although gas consumption increased the holding managed to withstand the pressure and fully performed its obligations to consumers in Russia and abroad.
“In January the historic peak of gas consumption in the area of Unified Gas Supply System was recorded - 1.79 billion cubic meters. On January, 31 the maximum daily productivity of the Russian Underground Gas Storage (UGS) in all the history of its exploitation was registered - 725.2 million cubic meters” - Kupriyanov stated. Earlier it was reported that the total reserves of “Gazprom oil” of the categories “proved” and “probable” grew by 7.7 % - up to 2.29 billion tons of oil equivalent in 2013 by international SPE-PRMS standards.
