The first Russian museum on the history of computer has been recently opened in Volgograd.

      The museum presents “the most interesting and rare exhibits of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s that will tell visitors about all the periods in the evolution of the personal computer”. Among the exhibits there are old and rare computers, bygone floppy disks, some of the first computer games and even the first counting frames and calculators.

      The museum exposition also presents game consoles of the past, Apple devices and the world's first computer - electronic computing machine (ECM).

      One of the most famous museums on the history of computing - Computer History Museum - is located in Mountain View, California (USA). It was founded in 1996 on the basis of exhibits from the Boston Computer Museum. Presently the museum exposition consists of three main sections: milestones in the history of computing and storage technologies, history of software and computer chess, as well as the Silicon Valley inventions.
