The playwright Victor Slavkin, aged 79, has died in Moscow.
In recent years he had suffered a serious disease.
Victor Slavkin, an engineer by education, from the early 1960s contributed for the Moscow State University variety theater studio as the author of plays. Subsequently he became the author of the drama basis for several play productions staged by Anatoly Vasilyev. Victor Slavkin is also known as the author of scripts for numerous animated films, with the last one - Gofmaniada - released in 2008.
In addition to that, Victor Slavkin was the author of the Old Apartment telecast from 1996 to 2002. In 1998 he got Television Broadcasting Award for that work.
