From 15 to 22 March, 2014 an annual snowmobile race "Siberian extreme – 2014” will be held on the Yamal Peninsula. This year, 25 adventurers from Salekhard, Novy Urengoy and Nadym will cover more than 1000 kilometers in 8 days on the new route: they will start in Salekhard, then will visit Vorkuta, Lake Bolshoye Shchuchye, Yar-Sal and will finish the journey in Nadym.

      The race starts on March 15 at 9:30 in the Octyabrsky ski resort. The racers will reach finish on March 22 in Nadym. Here they will be solemnly awarded prizes and certificates confirming that they passed the route. Even though the route is considered difficult, it is much inferior to the last year's route. In 2013, extreme sportsmen drove 1710 km in 9 days, which is currently the record length of "Siberian extreme."
