In Rostov Oblast by July 1, 2014 will be formed a unified concept of the development of Starocherkasskaya stanitsa. In five years, the village should become a major tourist attraction in the south of Russia.
"We have a real jewel – a primordial Cossack village. There is no another one like this in the world. This spirit has to be preserved. Starting today, development of the village is the governor's program," the Head of the region Vasily Golubev set the task. The governor underlined that the program provides creation of all life-support conditions: as part of the Eastern Aksai Bypass construction there will be provided an exit to Starocherkasskaya stanitsa; in stanitsa itself, it is planned to build 25 highways; locals will be provided with all living conditions, because the main task is to save the comfort of the future tourist center.
Also, the plan includes creation of three park zones; beautification of the streets and beaches; hosting festivals and festive occasions; building of the new water line. In three years, the bigger part of the works should be completed. However, historical appearance of Starocherkasskaya must be preserved.
