Russian figure skaters Ksenia Stolbova and Fyodor Klimov have become the third after the short program at the 2014 World Figure Skating Championships in Saitama, Japan.
Judges estimated the couple's performance at 76,15 points. It is the best result Stolbova and Klimov showed this season.
Two more Russian figure skating couples entered the top ten after the short program. Vera Bazarova and Yury Larionov have become the seventh with 67,41 points and Yulia Antipova and Nodari Maisuradze have taken the eighth place with 66,78 points.
The freestyle excercises will take place on March 27.
Ksenia Stolbova and Fyodor Klimov won the gold medals in team competitions at the Olympics 2014 in Sochi and became the second in pair skating competitions.
The 2014 World Figure Skating Championship is held in Saitama, Japan at Saitama Super Arena from March 24–30, 2014. Medals are be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. The event will also determine the number of entries a country may send to the 2015 World Championships.
