Russia’s prime minister has called for more support of the Russian business community in a move to kickstart the economy facing a slowdown and long-term impact from international sanctions.
Speaking at a panel of experts in Ulyanovsk, Dmitry Medvedev said conventional instruments to expand the economy were simply not enough under the current circumstances.
He urged the removal of administrative barriers and fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship in the younger generation.
Corporate expenses on administrative procedures had been cut by three times while the total investment had doubled over the past 5 years, he added.
