Legend of the Bolshoi Theater Displayed in Moscow

On April 9 the Tretyakov Gallery at Krymsky Val will open the first personal exhibition of Fyodor Fedorovsky, the great artist of the Bolshoi Theater.

      The operas Boris Godunov and The Tsar’s Bride are still staged in the set design by the artist.

      The exhibition presents more than 150 works by Fyodor Fedorovsky: sketches of theatrical costumes, face paints and scenery, original costumes, real antique side-scenes and a model of the Bolshoi Theater’s well-known stage curtain based on Fedorovsky’s drawings.

      The variety of genres will make it possible for visitors to picture drama of stage plays, harmoniously combining music and visual arts.

      The exhibition will be held till August 3.
