The Golden Age of the Russian Avant-Garde project by Peter Greenaway and his wife Saskia Boddeke will start the UK-Russia Year of Culture 2014.
The exhibition will be opened in the Manege exhibition hall from April 15.
According to the authors, they made it poetic — adopted the strategy of avant-garde captivated by new technologies and brought it into the present in order to reconsider ups and downs of that era as a whole and its heroes.
Paintings, cinematography, 3D technologies and animation will be brought together on 18 screens. Peter Greenaway and Saskia Boddeke have selected 12 key figures of 1917-1930, among them Vladimir Mayakovsky, Sergey Eisenstein, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Kazimir Malevich and Wassily Kandinsky...
The exhibition will be held till May 18.
