Over 150 autographs by famous Russian writers of the 19th - 20th centuries will be auctioned by the Antiquarian Book House in Nikitsky.
Inscriptions by notable figures of Golden and Silver Ages will be available at the auction.
The collection consists of autographs written by the best men of letter of that era: Alexander Blok, Anna Akhmatova, Maxim Gorky, Nikolai Gumilev, Michael Zoshchenko, Alexander Kuprin, Marina Tsvetaeva, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Boris Pasternak, Joseph Brodsky, Sergei Mikhalkov, Konstantin Simonov, Alexander Twardowski, and Igor Severyanin. This is an incomplete list of writers and poets, whose inscriptions will be sold at the auction. To top lot is Marina Tsvetaeva’s autograph made by her on The Tsar Maiden book. The inscription was intended for the political and public figure Alexander Kerensky.
All the collected items will be displayed at a pre-auction exhibition held from 17 to 22 April. It will be followed by the auction on April 23 and 24.
