The famous actor Alexander Lenkov, aged 70, died on the night of April 21 in one of Moscow hospitals.
As the doctors report, the actor died after a long serious disease.
Alexander Lenkov was born on May 17, 1943 in the Tambov Region. In 1965 he graduated from the Mossovet Theatre Studio and joined the theater troupe. He played on stage of the Mossovet Theatre for his life time. In 1997 Alexander Lenkov became the People’s Artiste of Russia.
He played more than 80 roles in Russian cinema. The actor made his film debut in 1964 with roles in Give the Book of Complaints and Keys to the Sky, which gained him wide popularity. He was also much into voicing animations.
Alexander Lenkov is also very well remembered for his characters of loose and goose bachelors in the films Winter Cherry and Little Vera.
