One Day in the Life of the Chelyabinsk Oblast Photomarathon was launched.

      The organizing committee of the contest, which will be held on May 23 in the framework of Photofest, received the first applications. Photographers selected for their shootings Magnitogorsk ("Metallurgical Plant", "Cultural City", "Beauties of Magnitogorsk"), "Peplos" clothing factory in Chebarkul, Yunichel shoe factory in Chelyabinsk. If the May photo marathon will involve all municipalities and districts of the Southern Urals, they will complete a "portrait" of the Chelyabinsk Oblast of early 21st century.

      The event was organized by the Administration of the Governor of Chelyabinsk Oblast, by Ministry of Culture of the Chelyabinsk Oblast, by Chelyabinsk State Museum of Local History, by the regional branch of The Russian Union of Art Photographers and by Chelyabinsk Photo Club. One of the biggest challenges of the competition is to gather a collection of photographs depicting the daily life of the entire region.
