The program on creation of a unified system of street and transport navigation in the capital will begin this year.
"The program will last 5 years. We will completely complete it by 2018. This year’s first phase is Central Okrug. The signs will be written in 2 languages: Russian and English. The works will start in 2 weeks,” Moscow deputy mayor Pyotr Biryukov said.
Deputy Mayor for transportation Maxim Liksutov said at the meeting that the new navigation system will be implemented at transportation facilities. The main subway stations, major stops of land transport and commuter rail transport will be equipped with special transport navigation in accordance with the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee.
