Clean Ice Of Lake Baikal

"Clean ice of Lake Baikal" event was held in April in Listvyanka village and on Olkhon ferry crossing. The action took place in the framework of Let's Save Baikal project, organized by the Center for Development of Environmental and Social Projects ANCO.

      The two-day event was attended by more than 100 volunteers from Irkutsk, Moscow, Angarsk and Ulan-Ude. On the first day of the event was attended by inmates of Irkutsk orphanage number 1. The participants collected garbage separately: plastic, glass, metal and other rubbish.

      In total, they collected 160 bags. Mixed waste was sent to the administration of the Listvyanka village to the ground, but separated garbage was transported to the plant for further sorting and recycling. On the second day volunteers collected 50 bags.
