The eighth international military historical festival “Battle on the Ice” will be held during May 1-3 at the shore of Chudskoe Lake in Pskov oblast.

The event will involve about 120 specialists in historical reconstruction from Moscow, Moscow oblast, Tula, Pskov, St. Petersburg and Vyborg. This was reported by the State Committee for Culture of Pskov oblast. “We are planning a program that, in our opinion, should be sufficiently succinct, interesting and not too long” – the chairman of Tula city youth club of historical reconstruction and fencing Oleg Lukyanov said.

The spectators are to visit the festival on May 3: this day the reconstruction of the Battle on the Ice will be held. “There are some innovations this year. As far as the weather conditions allow, a historic camp will be set for the first time on the site of reconstruction, on the lake shore, which will be seen by the audience” - the Deputy Chairman of the Committee Vladimir Kuprin said.
