Life is the name of the exhibition opened in the City Sculpture Museum in St. Petersburg.
The unusual exhibition presents about 100 works by nine sculptors, with the authors’ age ranging from 80 to 90. Most of them experienced war and those tragic events became the main idea of the exhibition. The exhibits are made of plaster, granite, bronze, and wood.
“It is of great importance that there is not mere indifferent copying, but something that touches the viewers and makes them understand what the sculptor wanted to convey” - the sculptor Grigory Yastrebenetsky pointed out.
The exhibition has just been opened, and the museum staff already announced the next exposition. In July the visitors are welcomed to get acquainted with the unusual genre of transforming sculpture.
