Germany and Japan threaten Russia with new sanctions. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced that leading industrial powers, members of the Group of Seven are ready to expand sanctions against Russia, if necessary.
It is noted that the leaders of countries have expressed such willingness, in spite of the "Moscow's threats to retaliate against foreign energy companies."
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he sees no need for implementing retaliatory sanctions against Western countries.
