Victor Tsoi Wall to be Moved to Internet

A memorial website will represent the real wall of Victor Tsoi in Old Arbat Street in Moscow.

Everyone interested will be able to leave their inscriptions and messages on the wall in memory of the legendary rock singer songwriter.

All the messages written on the virtual wall will remain, unlike inscription the real wall, which is periodically daubed by officials and vandals.

Users of the memorial website will be able to listen to sounds of Old Arbat and well-known songs by Victor Tsoi. The site will be launched on August 15, the day of the musician’s untimely death.

Initially the authorities wanted to remove Victor Tsoi Wall from Moscow and shift it to his hometown of St. Petersburg. In turn the Moscow Culture Minister Sergey Kapkov declared that the cult wall will not be moved anywhere.

“Victor Tsoi Wall is, in my opinion, an integral part of Arbat. It is a sight, just like the monument to Bulat Okudzhava. Without the Wall Arbat would stop being Arbat”, - Mr. Kapkov emphasized.
