On Victory Day, May 9, Chelyabinsk regional museum invited guests to visit the “Facets of War. Karelian Front” permanent exhibition and display.
Great Patriotic War veterans and home front workers, as well as all pensioners visited the museum for free. At the exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the defeat of the Finnish and German fascist troops on the Karelian Front, visitors saw examples of WWII fire arms, frontline items, military diaries, letters, photographs, trophies, as well as the objects unearthed by search team members on former battlefields.
On the eve of Victory Day, on May 7 and 8, there was held “On the Way of Partisan War” interactive sessions for students, during which children listened to the stories about people, who fought on the battle and home fronts; learned rendering first aid and tried themselves in the role of military strategists. In addition, on 8 May at 13:00 there was presented the literary and musical composition "I have not seen the war...," the museum press service reported.
