New Electric Train In The Crimea

A new electric train transferred to the Crimean railroad by the Russian Railways performed its first route on the peninsula on Thursday, the Transport Minister of the Crimea Yuriy Shevchenko told to the reporters.

      According to him, the locomotive will run on the sectors Simferopol - Evpatoria and Simferopol - Sevastopol. The train consists of 10 cars, its maximum speed is 120 kilometers per hour. The number of seats is 1124. The official launch of the new electric train was attended by the Acting Head of the republic, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, who said that the authorities are ready to proceed to comprehensive modernization of the Crimean railway in the nearest future.
