Russian heavyweight boxer Alexander Povetkin signed a contract to fight Manuel Charr from Germany.

      The duel will take place on May 30 in Moscow. The place for the match has not yet been determined. Ranked sixth in the World Boxing Council (WBC) ranking list, Charr scored 26 wins (15 - KO) and 1 defeat. The German held his last duel on April 12, winning in points over American Kevin Johnson. In September 2012 Charr met in Moscow Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko in a fight for the WBC world title and lost by TKO in the fifth round due to dissection. Povetkin, who won in the professional ring 26 fights in a row (18 - KO) was defeated on points by world champion Vladimir Klitschko in last October in Moscow.
