Mikhail Lermontov Memorial House Museum has been opened upon restoration in Moscow.
Its opening is timed to the 200th anniversary since the great poet’s birth.
He lived in a mansion in the Malaya Molchanovka Street from 1829 to 1832 while studying at the Moscow University.
After restoration of the Lermontov House Museum its exposition has been expanded and supplied with multimedia equipment that makes it possible to hold virtual excursions around the poet’s house.
For this purpose an interactive door has been set up to give a chance to see Tarkhany and Pyatigorsk in the online mode. There will also appear a small exhibition hall presenting etchings and other artifacts associated with Moscow of the early 19th century, i.e. the period of the poet’s life.
