Zenit St. Petersburg is expected to announce the signing of Benfica star Ezequiel Garay, to the envy of Premier League’s giants Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, says the Daily Express.

      “Zenit boss Andre Villas-Boas is thought to consider Garay as an important signing as he prepares for next season's Champions League campaign”, said an article by Ben Jefferson.

      Earlier, Garay's agent, Rafael Zurro, told Record: "Ezequiel has already decided that he wants to play for Zenit Saint Petersburg."

      According to Record, the clubs have settled financial issues and are set to announce the deal in the next couple of days.

      Zenit came second in the Russian Premier League, failing to convert its leading position into gold.
