June 6 will see the opening of the exhibition Flowers and Still Lifes by Alexander Benua di Stetto in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.
Alexander Benua di Stetto (1896-1979), a representative of the glorified artistic dynasty of the Benoit, Serebryakovs, and Lanceray has become known to the general public quite recently. It happened in many respects thanks to the exhibition project Alexander Benua di Stetto. Return to Russia, which was started in the Russian Museum eight years ago.
The still lifes presented at this exhibition convey the author’s aspiration for reconsideration of the traditional forms of this genre and his search for new composition and palette opportunities.
The exhibition will be held from June 6 till July 6.
