Today the Open Club Gallery in Moscow opens the exhibition Ulo Sooster. Mythology of Artist.
The exhibition presents over 40 works by Yulo Sooster - one of the forefathers of Moscow Conceptualism. Strangely, the works by the artist who has contributed so much to the development of modern Russian art are exhibited in Moscow too rarely.
The exhibition presents Ulo Sooster’s graphic art and painting from Moscow collections. It is timed to the 90th anniversary since the artist’s birth. Each exhibition of Ulo Sooster is an event for artistic Moscow. His creative heritage is not so massive - the well-known Estonian artist, who was considered by pillars of the Moscow Conceptualism Yury Sobolev and Ilya Kabakov to be their teacher, passed away too early, aged 45.
The exhibition will be held at the address 9/2, Spiridonovka Street, Moscow from June 10 to June 24.
