The State Duma Committee on Health sent a letter to the Chamber Council with a request to consider in first reading on June 10 the draft law on the return of winter time.

      Ministry of Industry and Trade was tasked to investigate the opinion of citizens and regional authorities about the winter time, but the agency fails to complete the work at the stated time. In late April, the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent the analytical materials with scenarios of possible changes to all 85 regions. After conducting surveys and monitoring, the local authorities should have formed their position by May 17. But before May 29 most of them reported that work is still ongoing. 50 regions, including Moscow have not yet provided the data.

      "The government demonstrates disrespect towards State Duma, just ignores it. In any case we will consider the issue on June 10, but, if between June 10 and 30 the government's position will change somehow and they will make some efforts to solve the problems of the population, then we will listen to them," the head of the Committee on Health and co-author of the bill Sergei Kalashnikov (LDPR) said. According to him, there is no official information in the Lower House about the progressing of the Government over Decree on the return of winter time.
