Russia’ most famous puppet theater – the Obraztsov Puppet Theatre in Moscow has opened a new stage.

      This long awaited event took place on June 10. The decision was taken back in 2009, and the reconstruction of the old building turned to be long and complicated. As a result the theater has finally got its third stage, where performances for little kids will take place.  The hall with very comfortable little chairs will admit up to 50 little theatre lovers. The theatre has plans of founding a studio, which is going to be the first puppet art school in Moscow.

      According to the theater director Irina Korchevnikova, the newly opened stage is the first step on the way to implementing Sergey Obraztsov’s dream of creating the International Puppet Art Center.
