Four beach areas opened in capital’s recreational parks with the onset of summer season, the head of the Department of Culture of Moscow, Sergei Kapkov said at the meeting of city government on Tuesday.

      "With the onset of hot weather, beach areas opened in four parks: Gorky, Sokolniki, Northern Tushino and Fili. Also there opened two zones with outdoor swimming pools," Mr. Kapkov said. According to him, summer cafes started working in the city parks; new children's and sports centers were opened. Summer cinemas opened in 11 metropolitan parks. Mr. Kapkov also said that the new cinema opened last weekend in Fili Park.
