Mussolini’s Car Goes to Russian Museum

The Alfa Romeo car once owned by the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini was sold to a Russian museum at an auction in Caen.

The auction house does not disclose the name of the Russian museum. However, it is reported that the historical cabrio was bought for €180 000.

Experts noted that the car is out of fix and needs considerable repair. In particular, restoration of the silver dashboard is required. The door handles and even the hood are also made of silver.

This Alfa Romeo was custom-built for the Italian King Vittorio Emanuele III. Later the car was considerably transfashioned for Mussolini.
