The traffic pattern on 76 streets within Garden Ring have been changed from June 1. The streets include Bolshaya and Malaya Lubyanka, Rozhdestvenka, Kaluzhskaya and Paveletskaya squares and Mokhovaya Street.
To avoid the jams some streets has become one-way, but it was not specified which roads exactly to be one-way. The point is also that 76 streets will be marked and equipped with traffic signs that inform on how to use paid parking.
Thereby the Road Traffic Organization Center of the Moscow Government RTOC asks drivers to be very careful. Earlier it was reported that one-way traffic could be effective on 29 streets and alleys beyond the Garden Ring.
Moscow authorities explain this as a necessity of organizing more parking lots. From June 1, 2013 parking is paid in Moscow within the Boulevard Ring, and from December 25 parking charges to be introduced within the Garden Ring. One-hour parking within the Boulevard Ring is 80 rubles, within the Garden Ring is 60 rubles. Parking in the center is free on Sundays and public holidays since May 1. Starting June, paid parking zone will be expanded to the Garden Ring. In particular, the parking will be paid on the territory of Moscow City Business Center.
