Moscow authorities intend to expand the paid parking zone by the fall, the first deputy head of the Department of Transport in Moscow Sergei Andreykin said.
New paid parking areas will appear in several places between the Garden and the Third rings. Their locations are currently discussed by municipal deputies.
The number of new paid parking zones is not specified. Mr. Andreykin added that the issue is on the development stage, and "the process of introduction of additional paid parking areas will be initiated only after the final decision." According to the official, Moscow residents perceive positively the idea of extending paid parking zones.
