Pond in Historian Minkh’s Estate Put up for Sale

A pond in the estate of the historian and ethnographer Alexander Minkh might be sold.

The sale was reported by the user curious64 in the LiveJournal. The seller is the owner of the land plot with the pond near the tumble-down house, which is located in the Polchaninovka Settlement of the Saratov Region.

The ethnographer Alexander Minkh’ Estate situated 30 km away from Saratov falls into the category of conservation areas of the Saratov Region. Its pond, constructions, critically endangered herbs and centuries-old trees are supposed to be under special protection.

The historian, archeologist, regional specialist and ethnographer Alexander Nikolaevich Minkh was born in 1833. Throughout 50 years of scientific and literary work he had about 100 works published, among them the Historiographic Dictionary of the Saratov Province.
