There are more than 13.5 thousand refugees from south-eastern Ukraine in Russia. More than 6.2 thousand of them are children, sources in the Russian power structures told Itar-Tass.
They are accommodated in the border regions of Central and Southern federal districts, as well as in the Crimea and Sevastopol. According to the source, most of the refugees - more than 8 thousand people - stay at their relatives.
"The rest, which is more than five thousand people, stay in 98 temporary accommodations. There work physicians, psychologists, police, immigration service," he specified. According to him, the medical assistance was provided to 460 refugees but psychological aid to more than one thousand people.
As the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov said, in regions bordering Ukraine there were prepared more than 200 points of temporary accommodation for Ukrainian refugees with provision of round the clock food, medical care and FMS service.
